You will assist clients with lighting, ceiling fan, and home furnishing selections while helping maintain the curated retail experience of andhome. From supporting a customer building a new home to helping someone find the perfect lamp, gift, or finishing touch, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and inspiring showroom experience.

Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
- Guide clients through lighting, fan, and home furnishing selections.
- Prepare quotations, place orders, and follow projects through completion.
- Build long-term relationships with homeowners, designers, builders, architects, and contractors.
- Learn product specifications and confidently explain features, installation requirements, and benefits.
- Help customers make informed purchasing decisions and successfully close sales.
- Maintain an organized, visually appealing, and inspiring showroom environment.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, receiving shipments, and display assembly.
- Coordinate with manufacturers regarding lead times, warranties, freight claims, and product support.
- Support social media, marketing initiatives, special events, and showroom promotions when needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members while independently managing customer relationships.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, showroom sales, customer service, interior design, construction, remodeling, or related industries preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable initiating conversations, building rapport, and closing sales.
- Interest in design, architecture, interiors, lighting, or home furnishings.
- Ability to learn technical product information and communicate it clearly.
- Experience with SketchUp, CAD, lighting design software, or design-related tools is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using POS systems, inventory software, and basic computer applications, or a quick learner. We use Apple products
- Basic math skills for quotations, measurements, and retail transactions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm, organized, and effective during busy periods.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and follow-through.
- Ability to lift approximately 20 pounds, climb a ladder, and assist with showroom setup and merchandising.
- Is technical and can put together things: i.e. a lighting fixture, fan, or piece of furniture quickly.
- Multilingual abilities are welcomed but not required.
